Salvation / Conditional

Salvation is God's gracious rescue from sin through Jesus Christ. The gospel is heard and believed; sinners repent and confess Christ; believers are baptized according to Christ's command for the biblical purpose; and Christians remain faithful. These responses do not earn salvation as merit but belong to obedient faith receiving God's grace.
