INFANT BAPTISM: Ezek 28:15, Ezek 18:20; Deut 1:39.

This Catholic doctrine of “baptismal regeneration” consigns un-baptized infants to hell, and is therefore the doctrine of infant damnation. This false doctrine is not taught in the word of God.

Catholics claim that infants can be baptized for the remission of sin, but NOT ONE example is found in the Word of God that will support this FALSE doctrine. Catholics make the ignorant claim that one can be baptized and then the Holy Spirit can "infuse" one with faith, but that is NOT TRUE. All of the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit ceased when the "perfect" written Word of God was completed. (1 Cor 13:10).

Since Catholics claim that one can be baptized as an infant who is WITHOUT FAITH in the gospel of Christ, then they are NOT confessing that Jesus has come in the flesh and are therefore "a deceiver and an ANTICHRIST." (2 Jn 4:7).

As for Acts 16:15, Yes Lydia and her household were baptized, however, if you look at verse 14, the Lord had to open her heart to "heed" the things spoken by Paul. This means that she had to OBEY all of the requirements to be saved which included being baptized.

Infants are NOT able to "heed" anything.

As for Acts 16:33, yes it says that he and all his family were baptized, but in order to "believe" (verse 31) they first had to have the Word of the Lord SPOKEN to them (verse 32) this INFERS that one is able to UNDERSTAND what is being told to them. In verse 34, the Jailer rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.

Since infants CANNOT believe or obey, they are not able to be baptized.

As for 1 Cor 1:16, once again, just because it says that Paul baptized the household of Stephanus is NO indication that babies were baptized. Look at verse 18, where Paul said that the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. One must have UNDERSTANDING of the message before they are accountable to God.

The Bible teaches individual accountability and responsibility. Ezek 18:20; Rom 14:12; 2 Cor 5:10.

Small children are portrayed in the Bible as being Innocent, Pure, and FREE from Sin. Matt 18:1-14; Psa 127:3; Deut 1:39; 2 Sam 12:22-23; Heb 12:9.

Infants DO NOT inherit sin (Ezek 18:20) and they are not accountable. Deut 1:39.

Jesus' description of a person who is a good hearer in the parable of the sower in Lk 8:11-15 is in conflict with the idea of being totally depraved before conversion.

Jesus said that it is possible to have "an honest and good heart" prior to even hearing the word of God.

The Bible teaches:

"have gone astray" NOT born astray, Isa 53:6;

"gone out of the way" NOT born out of the right way, Rom 3:12;

"become unprofitable" NOT born unprofitable, Rom 3:12;

"man's heart is evil from his youth" NOT his birth, Gen 8:21.

Baptizing infants is WITHOUT scriptural basis.

There are NO commands OR examples of infant baptism anywhere in the Word of God.

Since the prerequisites of faith AND repentance AND confession are BEYOND the infant's capability, they are NOT suitable candidates for baptism.

Since this is the case, the Catholic Church IS guilty of making the Word of God of NO effect through their traditions which nullify the commandment of God.

God says, Belief + Baptism = Salvation. (Mk 16:16).

Catholic Church says, Baptism = Salvation then Belief. (Scripture???).
