Original collection

Exodus, The The escape of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt by the power of God through His servant Moses. This escape led to their establishment of their own land in Palestine. The OT and Judeaism look back to it as God's greatest deliverance, when Israel became a nation. NT teaching of Jesus and salvation through His blood sometimes uses the imagery of the exodus.
