Discipline — Brethren

Biblical discipline is corrective training under proper authority. Congregational discipline addresses impenitent sin and seeks restoration and purity. Parents discipline children for their good. God also disciplines His children. These are related principles but must not be confused as though the same actor, method, and authority apply in every setting.
