Question

False Doctrine Refuted — an original Scripture-based answer.

Can a human religious office make an untested teaching infallible?

Subject: Catholic claims

Claim examined: A continuing human office can issue an infallible binding teaching without the hearer testing it by apostolic Scripture.

Scriptural Answer

Galatians 1 places even a claimed angelic message under the already delivered gospel. Acts 17 commends testing preaching by Scripture. A claim about an office must therefore be tested rather than used to stop investigation.

Peter himself was corrected over conduct inconsistent with the truth of the gospel in Galatians 2. That incident does not settle every later technical claim about an office, but it does forbid treating Peter as beyond correction and supplies no promise of continuing institutional infallibility. Show the claimed authority from Scripture.
