I am pleased to share that I am preparing my first book for publication:

How the Law, the Prophets, Jesus Christ, and the Apostles Provide the Biblical Framework for Understanding Revelation

One of the greatest mistakes we can make when studying Revelation is beginning with Revelation itself and attempting to interpret its symbols without first examining the Scriptures that came before it.

Revelation did not appear in isolation.

Its language, symbols, warnings, promises, covenant imagery, and prophetic framework are deeply rooted in the rest of the Bible.

That is the approach of this book.

Rather than beginning with modern events and attempting to fit them into Revelation, we begin where Scripture begins.

We examine the biblical foundation established through:

The Law

The Prophets

The teachings of Jesus Christ

The book of Acts

The Epistles

and finally,

The book of Revelation

Throughout the study, one principle remains central:

ALLOW SCRIPTURE TO INTERPRET SCRIPTURE.

When Revelation speaks of judgment, covenant, kingdoms, beasts, harlotry, tribulation, the coming of Christ, heaven and earth, the New Jerusalem, and other prophetic themes, we ask:

Where has Scripture used this language before?

How did God use these images in the Old Testament?

What did Jesus teach concerning these things?

What did the apostles teach before Revelation was written?

How would Revelation’s original readers have understood its message?

The objective is not to make Revelation conform to a particular prophetic system.

The objective is to allow the entire Bible to provide the framework for understanding it.

This book represents extensive study and comparison of Scripture with Scripture, and I look forward to making it available.

Until then, I will continue sharing studies drawn from the same biblical approach used throughout the book.

Open the Scriptures. Examine the context. Compare Scripture with Scripture. Test the conclusions.
